General info

Nicaragua Mia is opening a new school location on the beautiful Apoyo Lagoon! The Apoyo Lagoon was declared a nature reserve in 1991.

Laguna de Apoyo is a great place to rest, relax, swim, kayak and enjoying Spanish Lessons!

You can hike through the forest and observe lots of birds (Over 200 species of birds have been documented in the reserve are abundant, oropendolas, falcons, hummingbirds and 65 species of migratory birds are present), Capuchin monkeys, green iguanas, beautiful tropical trees and butterflies!!!

Apoyo lagoon also contains a variety of fish species!

Laguna de Apoyo is located between Granada and Masaya and less an hour from Managua, just 35 km from Managua and 12 km from Granada.

Our program:

Beside to help you to improve your Spanish, we would like to support and provide employment to the local community, to develop good  working conditioning for them and support the Education for children and younger from this place and to take care the local enviroment!

We offer you 20 hours of Spanish Lessons, Grammar and Conversation. The Classes are mostly one on one, max three students in the grounds!

Also, we offer you Highly-experienced, skilled ad friendly Local teachers!

-One on one teaching or small groups

-Use of our library (books in Spanish, English and Germany, TV /DVD and movies!

All Inclusive Weekly Packages: $350 / per person (Laguna de Apoyo)
It includes:

-20 hours of classes (one on one teaching)
- Accomodation from Sunday to Friday (6 nights) with 3 meals.
-Or You can start any day!
-Dormitory with a shared bathroom
- free 3 Afternoon Local Activities with the school and teachers.

-I you have special diets requirements or medical concerns, please let us know!
-Private room and bath, air-conditioning & transportation (additional cost and not always available)

“Laguna Mia” Weekly Packages: $275

20 hours of classes (one on one teaching)
- Accomodation: 1 bed  from Sunday to Friday (6 nights).

-We can help you to find your volunteer opportunities!

Economy Monkey Weekly Packages:

-20 hours for 2 people with 1 instructor: $190 per week

“COMBO” GRANADA + APOYO LAGOON

2 weeks All Inclusive for only: $600

(1 week in Granada & 1 week in Apoyo Lagoon!

Reservations must be made at least 15 days before your program start date. Advanced reservations and deposit are recommended. Payment is accepted in US dollars, in cash or you can pay using Western Union.
